Background

Malaysian Alumni wish to support current Malaysian International students who experience financial need.

Are you eligible to apply?

To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an enrolled Malaysian national international student at any of La Trobe's campuses

  • Have completed one semester or six months of their course

  • Have a WAM of 65 or more (Weighted Average Mark)

  • Be deemed by the university to be experiencing financial hardship

  • Agree to be part of marketing activities for La Trobe if successful

Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:

  • A personal statement of between 300-500 words is required, outlining how the bursary will support your studies.
  • Selection by La Trobe International Student Services

Recipient obligations

  • Recipients will be invited to attend the Melbourne Prize ceremony on 10 July 2019
  • Recipients agree to be part of marketing activities for La Trobe if successful
