Since 2009 we've partnered with NEC Corporation (NEC) and Kyoto University as a resource centre linking our Melbourne-based researchers with NEC scientists and researchers from Kyoto University, Japan.

NEC Corporation is one of the world's leading providers of Internet, broadband network and enterprise business solutions.
C & C Innovation Research Laboratories (CCIL) is one of the central research laboratories of NEC’s Research and Development unit. Its mission is “Research of new forms of information processing and communication with an outlook of 10 to 30 years into the future”. Dr Keiji Yamada heads CCIL.
Kyoto University, Japan
RECCSI and Kyoto University have collaborated in research in emotionally engaging systems and knowledge flow networks. This research has applications in healthcare, human resource management, cross-cultural communication, tourism and robotics.
Kyoto University researchers have contributed to several of RECCSI’s projects under a Memorandum of Understanding committing both Universities to collaborative research in emotionally engaging systems.
