Accreditation and professional reviews
Students and employers frequently measure the 'quality' of a course through the perceived value it has within a particular profession or industry. This value is often determined through external recognition of the course by a third party organisation such as a professional body, association or licensing authority. In certain instances such recognition is mandatory; in other instances it is not mandatory, but enforces the perception of the value of the course through endorsing its structure, curriculum or elective components.
