Muscular and skeletal anthropometry
Mr Richard Fernandez is currently involved with research in muscular and skeletal anthropometry of the pelvis and its relation to prosthetic implants. His research also covers impact biomechanics of the pelvis under fall conditions and its application to hip fracture prevention in older persons. He currently holds an adjunct position as Associate Researcher at the Victoria Institute of Forensic Medicine.
Richard is the department prosector and manages the cadaveric dissection program. He and Dr Aaron McDonald have an interest in the use of cadaveric dissection in teaching third year topographic anatomy.
