Bonded Medical Places
Looking for a direct pathway to a medicine degree? A Bonded Medical Place, via La Trobe’s Bachelor of Biomedical Science (Medical), could be your best choice.
What are Bonded Medical Places?
Bonded Medical Places include all the same medical training as other pathways, except they include an extra requirement. Once students with a Bonded Medical Place have completed their classroom training, they must then work in an area the Australian government has identified as an area of medical need. This work placement is for a minimum of three years, however it can be completed over an 18-year period. These placements are always in regional, rural or remote areas of Australia.
What are the benefits of Bonded Medical Places?
A Bonded Medical Place gives you the opportunity to complete your medical degree while building your career as a rural doctor. Develop your experience where you’re needed most – in regional, rural and remote areas.
Build your experience across more diverse medical issues. Plus, you’ll work closely with experienced doctors and in small teams. Explore a new part of Australia and experience a different way of life, while developing a varied and rewarding career in medicine.
Your resume will be competitive, no matter what you plan to do next.
