The La Trobe experience
At La Trobe we’re proud of our world-class facilities and dynamic campus lifestyle. At Open Day, you get to experience these for yourself.
Here are some of the standout spaces and features you’ll find at each of our campuses.
We’re investing more than $500m into our facilities – and it shows. Across all our campuses you’ll find impressive learning spaces and resources to enhance your time at La Trobe. Make sure you visit the brand new Donald Whitehead Building at our Melbourne campus, along with the recently upgraded Reid science labs and multimillion dollar LIMS building. There’s no shortage of space at the Melbourne campus either – with a 30 hectare wildlife sanctuary, three storey library and sprawling student accommodation all available to explore.
Highlights of our Bendigo campus include the dynamic Clinical Health School and captivating Phyllis Palmer Gallery – whilst the Albury-Wodonga campus’ international-standard soccer pitch, brand new library and Murray-Darling Freshwater Research Centre will surely impress.
Our Shepparton campus incorporates teaching, study and communal meeting spaces into one modern structure, and if you’re heading to the Mildura campus you’ll see the Murray-Darling Freshwater Research Centre along with modern accommodation facilities and learning spaces.
If you arrive at Open Day with an appetite for more than course information, you won’t be disappointed. Our Melbourne and Bendigo campuses will both feature a food truck park, serving up a range of delicious food. Further to that at Melbourne, you can head to the Agora for your choice of cafes and restaurants providing international cuisines. Every campus will have food options available.

More than study
La Trobe’s reputation for fun is perhaps no better demonstrated than in our huge range of clubs and societies. These are formed around areas of common interests or study and provide students the chance to immerse themselves in something they love whilst making new friends. At Open Day many of our clubs and societies will be on show – including those which support philanthropic causes and minority groups – offering opportunities for you to connect with a range of causes.
