Bob Brown

Bob Brown is a former Australian Greens politician, medical doctor, and environmentalist.

Elected to the Tasmanian parliament in 1982, he led the Tasmanian Greens 1989 – 1993, and the Australian Greens 2005 – 2012. In 2012 he established the Bob Brown Foundation and is a current director of the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society (Australian Chapter).

Dennis Altman

Dennis Altman, AM, is Emeritus Professor, Vice-Chancellor’s Fellow and Professorial Fellow in Human Security at La Trobe University.

A writer on gay rights and leading academic, Altman first came to attention with his book Homosexual: Oppression & Liberation in 1972. Since then Altman has written eleven books, exploring sexuality, politics and their inter-relationship, most recently The End of the Homosexual?

Robert Manne

Robert Manne is Emeritus Professor, a Vice-Chancellor’s Fellow and Convenor of the Ideas & Society Program at La Trobe University.

A leading public intellectual and commentator, he is the author of Left, Right, Left: Political Essays 1977 – 2005; Making Trouble: Essays against the New Australian Complacency and three Quarterly Essays, most recently Bad News.
