La Trobe MBA recognised for excellence

The latest QS Global 200 Business Schools Report has ranked the La Trobe MBA as 23rd in the Asia Pacific region.

This is a leap forward for the program that was ranked 32 in the region in last year’s report.

The 2013/14 report found the La Trobe MBA graduates receive one of the highest starting salaries in the Asia Pacific region, earning an average of $110,000US ($120,495.10AUD) upon completion of the course.

It found more than 94 per cent of La Trobe MBA graduates find employment just three months after completing their studies.

The ranking, released as a part of the website, derives its data from over 4,318 employers who actively recruit MBA graduates and serves as a counterpoint to complex MBA rankings that focus on methodology between schools.

This employer ranking is highly relevant to all prospective La Trobe MBA students who had already completed an average of 6 years of work experience prior to commencing the degree.

Developed with personal and professional leadership, team building and responsible management as the core concepts of the degree, the La Trobe MBA has been garnering attention across the globe since its redesign in 2012. The QS ranking will sit alongside the other rankings that La Trobe has received throughout the year.

The Australian Financial Review’s “BOSS 2013 MBA Rankings” placed La Trobe in the top two institutions in Victoria.

In September Corporate Knights 2013 Global Green MBA survey ranked La Trobe Business School in the top ten small schools worldwide for their promotion of responsible management. The School remains the only Australian Institute to be included in the rankings.

Delivered from the brand new facilities in Collins Street, Melbourne, officially opened on 9 May this year, the new La Trobe MBA has also received the prestigious EPAS accreditation from the European Foundation for Management Development and is one of few programs to have received this accreditation worldwide.

The Graduate Management Association of Australia (GMAA), who ranks the overall standard of MBAs across the country, have also awarded the La Trobe MBA a Five Star rating for three consecutive years.

Categorised as an Elite Regional School for the purposes of the survey, La Trobe graduates were found to be well regarded by local and international employers upon graduation. According to the QS top MBA rankings La Trobe Business School has one of the smallest class sizes, the lowest tuition fees, highest GMAT scores and the largest percentage representation of international students for an MBA course in the entire category.

From 2014, this acclaimed program will be also be taught from the University’s Albury-Wodonga, Bendigo, Mildura and Shepparton campuses. The MBA team will be touring regional Victoria in December offering one-on-one consultation sessions for prospective students. Scholarships are available and a 10% alumni discount is offered on tuition fees for all La Trobe alumni.
