Head of the Community Planning and Development program, Associate Professor Trevor Budge said all groups have been required to prepare imaginative plans in relation to the development of two sites.
‘Throughout the semester, students worked with Bendigo based experts in engineering, architecture, planning and real estate,’ said Mr Budge.
‘The students will present their design concepts in written and visual form and that material will be made available to the University, City of Greater Bendigo and other interested parties,’ added Mr Budge.
The students will be looking at land owned by the University including the Osborne Street campus site and an area in the vicinity of the Golden Square Shopping Centre and former railway station.
A cash or book voucher prize will be awarded to the group judged to have the best concept and presentation.
