Bendigo student wins free accommodation

Accomodation-standardThe survey was conducted by the University’s Planning and Institutional Performance Unit (PIPU) to assess students’ satisfaction of the residential units on the Melbourne and Bendigo campuses.

Acting Residential Life Coordinator, Laura Burge commended PIPU on the survey.

‘PIPU has done a fantastic job in collecting and collating the data and it’s pleasing to see that overall, the mid-year survey results have been extremely positive,’ said Ms Burge.

Thirty-three percent of the survey respondents were Bendigo campus students, with 67% on the Melbourne campus.

‘The survey found that 86% of the 692 respondents would “always” or “mostly” recommend living in on-campus housing with Bendigo students’ scores ranging between 78% and 97% on this question,’ said Ms Burge.

According to the survey, Bendigo campus students were highly respectful of each other with scores on ‘respect your privacy’ ranging between 89% and 100% across all residences and ‘respect your property’ rating from 78% to 95%.

Residential Supervisor on the Bendigo Campus, Chris Wilding said it was great that a Bendigo Campus student won the prize.

‘The prize was offered up as incentive for residents to complete a mid-year survey regarding their experiences with Residential Services.  We are very passionate about getting feedback from our students and offering the prize ensured a high response rate,’ said Mr Wilding.
