Bendigo welcomes newest graduates

More than 600 La Trobe University Bendigo campus students will celebrate when Vice-Chancellor, Professor Paul Johnson and Chancellor Sylvia Walton, AO, present their awards at the 2010 graduation ceremonies on Thursday 6 and Friday 7 May. 

Bendigo grads“Graduations are a highlight of La Trobe year- and we are very pleased to be introducing the newest group of graduates from the Bendigo Campus” said La Trobe’s Executive Director," Andrew Skewes.

“Our graduates understand that getting a degree is a step towards improving their life and employment prospects,” he said.
“La Trobe University is a very important part of the Bendigo community - for over 4000 students we provide an accessible and high quality academic experience.”
“In our area, we are also an important contributor to the supply of professionals who choose to work in regional Victoria.”
Those taking part in the 2010 graduations have completed degrees in Humanities, Education, Science Technology and Engineering, Law and Management and Health Sciences.

This group of graduates will join the backbone of a new wave of professionals helping ease the shortage of workers in many vital fields across regional Victoria.

This weeks recipients will join the 135,000 other alumni who have graduated from La Trobe University since its’ first graduating class at Melbourne’s Bundoora campus in 1967.

The ceremonies will be held at the Schweppes Centre in Marong Road.
