Students at La Trobe University will enjoy an even more streamlined service now that the Student Administration Services unit has relocated to refurbished premises in the Engineering building.

Lorraine Ling and Bruce Carboon cut ribbonStudent Administration Manager, Mr John Deane said that the refurbishment provides a one-stop shop for student services.

“Students can now access all their support services in the same location. Previously information about timetabling, identity cards, examinations and other administrative services were in an entirely different building and the cashier was in yet another building,” said Mr Deane.

“With the relocation, we have student administrative services with other student support services such as the medical clinic, counselling and chaplaincy in the same building, offering greater efficiency for students. This has streamlined the process and made it far more readily accessible to our students.”

The refurbished area provides a safe office environment for staff and includes a John Dean and Tania Reichart attend launchnew reception counter equipped with four computers to expedite student requests. A one-on-one interview room offers privacy for students wishing to discuss more personal matters.
