Shepparton’s finest graduate
80 La Trobe University Shepparton Campus students celebrated their graduation on Thursday 16 April at the East Bank Centre, Shepparton.
Students graduated with degrees in nursing, education, accounting, business and arts. It was a very special graduation ceremony for the Shepparton Campus, with its first ever graduating class of nursing students, most of whom will stay and work in health care in the Shepparton region.
Chancellor Silvia Walton and Pro Vice Chancellor Julie Jackson were in attendance, with several Deans and faculty heads.
Goulburn Valley Water’s Managing Director Peter Quinn gave an inspiring speech to all in attendance, which included parents, family and friends.
Members of the Academic Procession met in the robing room for gowning and marshalling before being escorted to the VIP seating area.
Graduands had their degrees conferred upon them and were then presented to the Chancellor.
At the conclusion, the Executive Director of Shepparton campus, Liz Lavender, invited guests to join the Chancellor, new graduates, and members of the University for refreshments.
