Orientation 2009 at Albury-Wodonga

La Trobe University Albury-Wodonga will hold its Orientation activities over one and a half weeks, beginning on Wednesday 25 February, 2009.

Orientation The first three days of academic orientation, February 25-27, will include activities to familiarise students with their courses, the staff and the facilities.  The Student Association activities will have a social focus, encouraging students to mix and meet other students and staff.  These activities will continue on during the first week of Semester One.  

The Orientation activities will include faculty sessions, parent information sessions, campus and library tours, lunchtime barbeques and entertainment, and a range of study skills workshops (the Smart Start program).  

The Albury-Wodonga campus continues to develop facilities for students and staff, with the fitness centre and the Student Association buildings being enhanced and expanded.

Over 320 commencing students have already enrolled in the variety of courses on offer at the Albury-Wodonga campus, with additional postgraduate students still to enrol.  Students are from the local region, from Albury-Wodonga and surrounding towns and cities, and from further afield within Victoria and NSW/ACT.
