On Wednesday 18 June, over 100 senior secondary college students will participate in the annual "Experience La Trobe" day at the Albury-Wodonga campus.

The key aim of the day is to provide Year 11 and Year 12 students with an opportunity to explore study options at La Trobe and experience course-related aspects of study at the campus.

Students will be able to select two workshops from the eight separate schools/departments delivering courses on the campus and take part in a range of activities, being "uni students" for the day.

The campus has offered this Experience Day opportunity to NSW Riverina and NE Victorian school students- for over 10 years, sponsoring bus travel from as far afield as Griffith and Benalla.

"This is an excellent chance for local and regional students to have a closer look at the campus and its course offerings – and to be able to experience two fields of study, making direct contact with the lecturers," stated Leo Whyte, Future Students Adviser and Experience Day organiser.

"It is even more important these days, especially given the rising costs of study, that students make informed decisions about their study choices.

The campus does have a lot to offer, including excellent courses, modern facilities and personalised support from academic and support service staff," added Mr Whyte.

Students will also be treated to a BBQ lunch and a tour of the campus, as well as being shown how to access course and campus information on the La Trobe University website to assist with their decision-making.
