Navin VeerapaDr Navin Veerapa recently presented a paper on "Sustainable Vegetable Production in South-East Asia" at the first international symposium of the International Society for Horticultural Science, held in Salatiga, Indonesia, 13-17 March 2011.

The paper was co-authored by Dr Veerapa and Mr Tran Manh Chien, an operator in the organic vegetable sector in Hanoi. The pair examined critical dimensions of the production and supply-chain methodologies employed in the production and distribution of organic vegetables in the Hanoi region of Vietnam.

This research provides significant insights into organic and sustainable vegetable production by giving a voice to the relevant protagonists on the ground in Vietnam. It will be published in an upcoming edition of Acta Horticulturae.
Dr Veerapa is Lecturer in marketing and Director of Masters' Programs at the Graduate School of Management.
