Mary Anne Noone added to Victorian Honour Roll of Women
In March 2010, Law Lecturer Mary Anne Noone was one of twenty inspirational Victorian women inducted into the 10th Victorian Honour Roll of Women.
This honour is in recognition of her great contribution as a legal and community advocate. Mary Anne is in excellent company with an induction group that also included a Nobel Prize winner and Olympic athlete.
The presentation was led by the Minister for Womens Affairs, Maxine Morand. When addressing the audience, she remarked, "This year we celebrate a remarkable group of women who have used their tenacity, vision, outstanding leadership, commitment and just plain hard work to succeed in their chosen field and have a lasting impact on their community. This is an opportunity to recognise them and the many other women who have contributed to making Victoria a great place to live."
“Their passion, ingenuity and dedication have marked these extroadinary Victorian women for special mention.” Ms Morand said.
“More than 450 women have now been inducted onto the Victorian Honour Roll of Women – every one is a role model and their achievements stand as an inspiration to us all,” Ms Morand said.
