Regional School of Business, Mildura campus, cordially invites you to attend a Master Class Lecture to be delivered by Rod Trowbridge, CEO, Mildura Tourism. Mr Trowbridge will present "Tourism: The business of taking holidays."
During his 20-year tourism career, Rod Trowbridge has held senior tourism industry positions in South Australia, Northern Territory and Victoria.
He joined Mildura Tourism as CEO in March 2008. Mildura Tourism's charter is to promote the region domestically and internationally as a premier holiday destination, providing strategic direction for the region's tourism marketing, industry professionalism and new product development.
For the past 18 months Rod has concentrated on setting a new marketing direction for Mildura, with some early noticeable initiatives including refreshed promotional collateral, a new three-state TV advertising campaign and a revitalized VFR push to attract more Visiting Friends and Relatives. Rod is currently finalising Mildura Tourism's new five-year strategic plan which, the context of current economic and environmental considerations, will embrace significant change to position Mildura as a modern and fashionable destination that is continually evolving and improving.
The Mildura Master Class Lectures run from March through to October 2009. Guest lectures with diverse backgrounds and business experiences in the local, national and international world of commerce are invited to speak on a topic of their choice followed by a question and answer session.
