This year students graduated from Nursing, Social Work, Business and Accounting, Education, Arts and Creative Art as well as Postgraduate students from Business, Arts and Health.
Dr Deb Neal, Head of Campus Mildura said, “It is fantastic to see so many of our students participate in the formal graduation and take the time to celebrate the hard work they’ve put in to achieving their qualification.”
The event celebrated those graduating but also current students that have secured a scholarship or bursary provided by the many community sponsors.
“We are very grateful to have the support of the local community and they are connected in many ways, including providing financial support for our students to help complete their degrees,” Dr Neal said. “Our industry partners are with our students throughout their education, informing our degrees, providing opportunities to complete work placement or internships, and now having already employed many of our graduates,” she said.
This year’s graduation is a special one for Head of Campus, Dr Neal, as her daughter Claire graduated with a Masters of Business Administration. “Claire completed the MBA at the City Campus in Melbourne but chose to graduate here in Mildura and I was thrilled that I got to share the day with her,” Dr Neal said.
The event, held at the Mildura Arts Centre, was be a great celebration of success with students welcomed to stay after the event for refreshments with their family and friends.
