Did you know you can access over 40,000 programs from a range of different networks including the ABC, SBS, National Geographic, and the History Channel, all from the one place?
EduTV is an online streaming service hosted by Informit available for all La Trobe University students and staff members. It provides a wealth of television content for a range of subjects including Legal Studies, Media Studies, Business, English, History and many more. You can navigate to EduTV by clicking on the Databases tab above the search bar on the Library website. The EduTV link can be found under ‘E’ and will automatically take users to a list of the latest programs on offer. Alternatively, users can search for some of these titles on the library catalogue, which should provide you with a link straight to EduTV, where you can instantly stream your chosen video.
As well as providing access to all this content, EduTV also allows users to customise their viewing experience. By selecting the ‘register’ button in the top right hand corner of the screen, users can create a personalised account where they add videos to their ‘favourites’ and even record sections of a program, creating clips that could be used for class presentations and other assignments. A video tutorial is available on YouTube demonstrating how to utilise some features of EduTV.
