Consultative Implementation and Monitoring Council (CIMC)

Andrea is interested in the work of the Consultative Implementation and Monitoring Council (CIMC), an independent organisation established in 1998 that brings together civil society, the private sector and government partners to develop policy and influence and monitor government decision making for the long term development of Papua New Guinea.

The CIMC holds annual regional development forums to bring people together to express their opinions on government policies and legislation. The CIMC coordinates implementation of the recommendations endorsed by the forums and promotes constructive, collaborative and practical policy approaches to tackle some of the country’s persistent development problems.

Do you work with the CIMC already? Are their more opportunities for collaboration? Let Andrea know if you have ideas or information by emailing a.babon@latrobe.edu.au .
