La Trobe Law School's mooting team continued their international run of success for a sixth consecutive year by reaching the finals of the Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moots in Hong Kong and Vienna in 2014.
Alexandra McKinlay and James Allen, La Trobe's Vis East oralists, reached the finals in Hong Kong and both were recognised for their superior advocacy skills by being awarded honourable mentions.
Belinda Moore-Gilbert and Karina Plain, La Trobe's Vis Vienna advocates, reached the finals and ranked in the top 10% of nearly 300 competing international law schools. Ms Plain was additionally awarded an honourable mention for her excellent advocacy.
La Trobe Law School's mooting coaches, Magda Karagiannakis and Heather King, were overjoyed with their teams' achievements.
'It was a great team effort. Both the work and the rewards were deservedly shared among this evenly balanced, talented and incredibly hard working team', said Ms Karagiannakis.
