Japan opens up to foreign workers

Japan's economy is emerging from its own 'ice age', and it is struggling to find enough workers to fill demand.

Construction is booming and Abe-nomics is feeding into higher growth.  Japan's rapidly ageing population means labour shortages are becoming acute, but a plan to fill the gaps with more temporary foreign workers is a short term solution at best.
