Grants success for JLC researchers

A number of Centre researchers submitted successful grant applications:

RFA Transforming Human Societies awarded a grant of $87,000 for the Harmony pilot study to prevent and reduce family violence in the Indian community: Angela Taft, Rhonda Small, Mridula Shankar, plus Kelsey Hegarty (University of Melbourne), Gene Feder (University of Bristol) and Suneeta Krishnan (India).  

The Asia Foundation awarded a contract of $USD30,000 for data analysis on police and community responses to domestic violence in Timor Leste: Lyn Watson, Kayli Wild and Angela Taft.  

Australia's National Research Organisation for Women's Safety (ANROWS) two year grant commencing March 2015 $294,683 on parenting and domestic violence based at Australian Institute of Family Studies. Chief Investigators: Angela Taft, Jan Nicholson, Leesa Hooker Lixia Qu (Senior Research Fellow, Demographic Trends Analyst).
