2013 Call for participants

If you are a current La Trobe University student and want to make a difference to your learning and personal experience, the Australia-China Student Forum (ACSF) – Bridging for Excellence and Prosperity is for you!

The Australia-China Student forum is a short term exchange program consisting of two, two week programs, one two week program hosting students from China at the La Trobe Melbourne (Bundoora) Campus and one two week program hosted by both Peking University (PKU) and Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) in Beijing, or Chongqing University (CU) in Chongqing, China.

This year the program will bring together high-calibre students from LTU, PKU, BFSU and CU to discuss the topic ‘Demographics of two nations – how to address the issue of aging nations’. 

Activities of the program will include 'focused topic' seminars, visits to relevant industrial and government organisations, student presentations and dialogue. Interactive activities with local students and communities, cultural activities, excursions, and pre-departure Chinese language classes will also be included in the program.


Time Period Activity
28 September 2013 – 9 October 2013 Participants from PKU and BFSU in Beijing, China visit LTU in Melbourne, Australia. LTU Students to participate in hosting the Chinese students, attending seminars and engaging in discussions through the official Forums.
29 November 2013 – 12 December 2013 Participants from LTU visit PKU and BFSU in Beijing or visit CU in Chongqing, China.
