The Graduate Management Association of Australia (GMAA) has again awarded La Trobe Business School’s MBA a 5 Star Rating. The La Trobe MBA has received the 5 Star Rating from 2011 - 2013.
‘Following on from the release of the Australian Financial Review BOSS rankings (No.2 in Victoria), and La Trobe Business School’s recent strong rankings with QS, being ranked in the top 200 globally, receiving the GMAA 5 Star rating for the third successive year is further affirmation of the quality of the La Trobe MBA’, said the Head (La Trobe Business School), Professor Paul Mather.
La Trobe Business School was one of only two University’s in Victoria and one of eight in Australia to receive this prestigous rating.
‘We’re the only Victorian MBA program to have been awarded the 5 Star rating for the past three years. Nationally there are only five other MBA programs that have achieved such success’, said La Trobe MBA Director, Professor Amalia Di lorio.
Each year the GMAA assesses MBA programs from the top business schools in Australia for their standard and value. The GMAA then awards a Star Rating. The highest rating a program can receive is 5 Star.
The assessment by the GMAA is recognised as a rigorous and truly independent evaluation of Australian business schools and the GMAA’s assessment is seen as of great benefit to prospective MBA students, and a valued tool to Australian busines schools to ensure and gauage the enhancement, development and relevance of MBA qualifications.
‘The La Trobe MBA explores our responsibilities to co-workers and communities in our professional roles and has been designed to deliver modern and responsible business leaders who have the expertise to develop and sustain competitive advantages for their organisations’, said Professor Amalia Di lorio.
‘The 5 rating is additional evidence that our recently redesigned MBA is valued by industry, and thus will be of value to students’, said Professor Amalia Di lorio.
