Course of study:
Bachelor of Nanotechnology / Bachelor of Science
Graduate Diploma in Education (Secondary)
Currently working at Quantum Victoria.
I wanted a course that explored physics, chemistry and mathematics while having a specialisation in nanotechnology. I felt La Trobe University offered a better experience with practical subjects and opportunities for projects.
The best thing about my course is the ability to do extended projects outside of class. This looks amazing on your resume but you also meet a lot of useful people. Also, the course has excellent nanotechnology-related subjects, from specialising in different Scanning Probe Microscopes to using the Australian Synchrotron.
I have worked with many external establishments throughout my course and have assisted in projects with Dulux, Electromold and the Defence Science and Technology Organisation where I developed real-world skills.
