Everyone has a body and every body experiences intimacy, pleasure, connection and care. This year’s Sexual Health Day <\/a><\/strong>(September 4) theme, ‘Every Body<\/strong>‘, highlights that sexual and reproductive health, rights, justice and pleasure belong in every body, without exception. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

At La Trobe, we care about the sexual and reproductive health<\/a> of our community, and we also recognise that sexual and reproductive health is influenced by social, political and economic environments.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Trobe provides access to sexual and reproductive health promoting measures, information and even physical resources like period products and condoms to support health justice and promote sexual and reproductive health for every body. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

5 sexual and reproductive health supports every body can access at La Trobe:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

  1. Grab a copy of Volume 2 of La Trobe\u2019s sexual and reproductive health magazine, The Hook Up<\/strong>

    You\u2019ll find it in wellbeing areas and libraries across campuses from early September, and you can play some custom board games with your friends or a stranger at Bundoora in the Agora at 11am-2pm on Thursday September 10<\/strong> while picking up your copy. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
      \n
    1. Get an STI test from a GP at La Trobe Medical Centre<\/a> at the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus<\/strong> (or your local GP)

      While it can feel awkward to ask for one, it\u2019s a common way that people manage their sexual and reproductive health. STI tests are usually partially covered by Medicare, or you can claim back on International Medical Insurance. Remember \u2013 the most common symptom of an STI is no symptom at all \u2013 get a test for reassurance.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      1. Find free menstrual products provided by Share the Dignity on every campus in selected bathrooms<\/strong>

        On the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus, you can find a Share the Dignity vending machine in the all-gender bathroom on the outer-east wall of the library. You can also find menstrual products at the Food Bank on the Melbourne (Bundoora campus) and Food Pantry on other campuses and in the multi-purpose rooms around your campus. <\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        1. Find free condoms in food banks and food pantries<\/strong>, as well as in some multi-purpose rooms around your campus.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
