But done respectfully, they help dispel myths, clear the air and empower students manage their own sexual health better. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Respect@LaTrobe team has put together five quick ways you can care for your sexual and reproductive health this month (and all the time!):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Get a standard STI (Sexually Transmitted Infection) test &#8211; <br><\/strong>It\u2019s fast, simple and important (especially if you\u2019re sexually active). Usually, a basic blood test or urine test is enough to rule out most STIs. Remember, you don\u2019t have to think you have an STI to get tested for STIs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get familiar with all yourself &#8211; <br><\/strong>Self-examination lets you know if something feels wrong. Get used to how everything feels and looks down there \u2013 that way if there are any changes, you can act quickly to get them checked out.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Treat your sexual partner with respect &#8211; <br><\/strong>Sex is about intimacy. Good sexual partners care about their partner\u2019s experience, seek consent throughout from their partner\/s, and engage in foreplay AND aftercare.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Get The Hook Up! &#8211; <br><\/strong>The new sexual and reproductive health publication from Respect@La Trobe is now available. Pick up a physical copy from your campus in the next few weeks (or at the Club House on 24 September)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Join us the Bundoora Club House on 24 September- <br><\/strong>Respect@LaTrobe will be partnering with Wellbeing Services to keep the chat going and provide some very sexy giveaways! 11am-1pm, 24 September.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Access to sexual and reproductive health services is a human right, and La Trobe is committed to supporting the sexual and reproductive health of our community.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Have questions about your sexual health and wellbeing?
