Your opinions matter to us, which is why we regularly ask for feedback on your experiences through student surveys<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You Said, We Did<\/a> is how we show you that\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0listening and taking real action based on what\u00a0you\u2019ve\u00a0told us.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ready to see your feedback in action? Here are four changes we\u2019ve made recently. You can also head to the You Said, We Did page<\/a> to see more ways your voice has shaped the La Trobe experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You said: <\/strong>You weren\u2019t always sure how to get help to feel safe on campus and wanted more options to access on-campus support.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We did:<\/strong> We launched the\u00a0UniSafe\u00a0app<\/a>\u00a0and our\u00a0plan to respond to the National Code for Gender Based Violence<\/a>, including new\u00a0programs and workshops<\/a>.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The UniSafe app<\/a> launched at the Melbourne (Bundoora) campus to help you get around safely after dark. Available between 6pm and 6am, the app lets you book someone from the Security team to accompany you on foot or via vehicle. UniSafe has already supported you with more than 4,800 escorted trips<\/strong> this year! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You said: <\/strong>You want more opportunities to connect with other students, collaborate in your course and feel part of the La Trobe community.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We did: <\/strong>We expanded opportunities for students to connect and collaborate through initiatives such as the Student Council<\/a>, student<\/a>\u2011led clubs and activities and Student Experience Grants<\/a> that support peer connection, belonging and student\u2011led projects. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2025, we launched our Student Experience Grants, awarding more than\u00a0$25,000 to student<\/strong>\u2011led projects<\/strong>\u00a0that improved\u00a0the student\u00a0experience. These grants empowered\u00a0students like\u00a0you\u00a0to turn\u00a0ideas into reality\u00a0\u2013\u00a0creating new spaces to belong, practical tools to support learning and events that helped\u00a0students to\u00a0connect with each other and industry. Learn more about\u00a0last year\u2019s recipients<\/a>\u00a0and how their projects have made an impact.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u00a0also\u00a0continued to support connection through\u00a0the\u00a0Student Council<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0student<\/a>\u2011led clubs and activities.\u00a0There are now\u00a080 affiliated student<\/strong>\u00a0clubs across our campuses,\u00a0which\u00a0helped to organise\u00a0more than\u00a0700\u00a0activities\u00a0over 2025<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013\u00a0creating more ways to meet people, get involved and feel part of the La Trobe community.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You said: <\/strong>You want access to health, wellbeing and support services that fit around your study and life commitments.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We did: <\/strong>We introduced outside standard hours counselling appointments<\/a> and expanded ASK La Trobe service hours during busy periods, so that there\u2019s more support available when you need it most. Whether you\u2019re juggling classes, work or personal responsibilities, we know life doesn\u2019t always fit neatly into business hours and we\u2019re here to support you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You can now book free counselling appointments outside standard hours, with later sessions and flexible options that let you connect in the way that works best for you.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We also extended\u00a0ASK La Trobe<\/a>\u00a0service hours during peak times, so help is available when demand is highest\u00a0– from\u00a0enrolment\u00a0and\u00a0fees\u00a0to\u00a0timetables\u00a0and\u00a0results,\u00a0we\u2019re\u00a0here to help.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

You said: <\/strong>Starting uni and knowing where to find the right information felt overwhelming and confusing.\u202f<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We did: <\/strong>We rebuilt the New to La Trobe website<\/a> and launched the New Student Guide<\/a> to make starting at La Trobe clearer, simpler and easier to navigate, working closely with students to make sure it covers what matters most when you\u2019re new to La Trobe.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The New to La Trobe website<\/a> puts all the essential information in one place, with clear steps, key dates and support options to ensure you feel prepared, connected and ready to make the most of your uni experience. We  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We\u2019ve also created the New Student Guide<\/a> \u2013 your step\u2011by\u2011step guide to everything you need to know in your first study period. From Orientation and first classes to exams and final assessments, it\u2019s there to help you start strong and stay on track. Even if you\u2019re not a new student, it\u2019s a handy guide you can come back to whenever you need a reset or reminder. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
