So, we checked in with our Chisholm College residents to ask why they like living at La Trobe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Convenience is built in<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cProvided that I live on campus, all I need to do in the morning is brush my teeth and head to class.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At some point, we all optimistically choose a 9 am lecture only to regret it when our alarms go off. But when you live on campus, a morning lecture or tutorial is just a short walk away<ins> and <\/ins>gives<ins> you back time in the afternoon<\/ins>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Spend less, get more<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cI chose to live on campus because I found it much cheaper than living elsewhere.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When you live on res, the cost of utilities, laundry and unlimited internet are built into what you pay, so you don\u2019t have to worry about tracking bills or paying too much for the basics; plus, there\u2019s heaps of free events to keep you entertained.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Safe living<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAs a female student from the country living away from home for the first time, I found living on res a much safer option compared to living off-campus.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Access your secure room via individual keycard entry, which means you can feel safe leaving your things behind when you go out or when you\u2019re tucking in for the night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tell me more<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We also checked in with residents from Glenn College and the North and South Apartments; keep an eye out for more insights next week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the meantime, it\u2019s easy to get started on your application to live on res.
