Are you feeling nervous as you walk down the exam hall on the big day? Don’t worry, we’ve got your back! Our team of student interns has compiled 6 top tips to help you stride into your exams with confidence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  1. Start your revisions early<\/strong>
    While this tip may not be applicable when you’re just 30 minutes away from the exam, being prepared at least a day before the big day will bring you so much peace of mind. Trust us, it works wonders!
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  2. Relax and don’t revise too close to exams<\/strong>
    We understand the temptation to go over that one particular week’s material again and again. But here’s a secret: reviewing right before the exam may have the opposite effect. Give yourself a break and let your brain absorb all the knowledge you’ve already acquired. You’ve got this!
    <\/li>\n\n\n\n
  3. Use all available resources
    <\/strong>Make sure you come fully equipped with all the allowable materials. If your exam permits a calculator, don’t forget to bring it along. However, keep in mind that you may not be allowed to bring a pencil case into the exam hall. So, pack only the essentials: 2 same-coloured pens, 2 pencils, a ruler, and an eraser. Simple yet effective!
    Also, don’t forget to utilise permitted resources. If you can bring reference materials or cheat sheets, go for it! Remember, every little bit helps.

  4. Stay hydrated and energized<\/strong>
    Exams can last from one to three hours, so it’s crucial to keep yourself hydrated throughout. Bring a water bottle (just remember to take off the labels) and take a sip whenever needed. If allowed, a small snack can also do wonders to keep your energy levels up. Some students find chewing gum helpful too \u2013 give it a try!

  5. Time management<\/strong>
    Time has a sneaky way of flying by during exams. Don’t get caught up spending too long on a single question. Use your reading time wisely to plan how much time you should allocate to each question. If a particular question is taking up too much time, move on and come back to it later if you have the chance.
    It’s always better to attempt all questions, even if you’re unsure. You might still earn partial credit and who knows, you might surprise yourself! And if time permits, double-check your work.

  6. Trust your preparation<\/strong>
    Last but certainly not least, trust in yourself and your preparation. You’ve put in the hard work, studied diligently, and now it’s time to shine. Believe in your abilities and give it your best shot. You’ve got this!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n
