Three ways you can support our traders if you’re on campus

Following the Victorian Government’s announcement to shutdown all non-essential activity across Victoria, we’d like to reassure you that there are food and beverage retailers open at the Melbourne and Albury-Wodonga campuses, for takeaway services only.

As small businesses, it’s never been more important to offer our support to our retailers, who are feeling the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Here are three ways you can support our traders if you’re on campus:

  1. Purchase a takeaway lunch, coffee or snack from them – note that BYO cups or containers are no longer accepted*
  2. Buy products and produce you can take home, if available
  3. Order catering for teams working on site or use delivery services if available

Many of our retailers are coming up with creative ways to help make life more convenient for you – so please check with them if they are offering additional services such as home or office delivery, in addition to their usual takeaway service.

For a list of retailers at the Melbourne Campus, including contact details is you wish to ring ahead, visit the website. La Moka in Albury-Wodonga is also open.

Our retailers need us just as much as we need them – so please support them where you can.

*A note about BYO Cups and Containers
Many food and beverage outlets across the globe have stopped accepting BYO cups and containers. The good news is that many of our traders have already transitioned to compostable packaging that can be disposed of via the green organic waste bins on campus. You can check with the outlet if you’re unsure whether the packaging is compostable.
