Student COVID-19 health restrictions update – 25 October

The Government has deferred announcing any further relaxation of COVID-19 health restrictions in Metropolitan Melbourne while State health officials assess test results connected to an outbreak in Melbourne’s northern suburbs.

Existing arrangements for students will continue at our Metropolitan and regional campuses.

Travel permits

Arrangements are being finalised to reissue travel permits to those students who require them.

Northern suburbs COVID-19 community outbreak

The Government has issued health alerts for the following five suburbs in Melbourne’s north:

  • Preston
  • West Heidelberg
  • Dallas
  • Roxburgh Park
  • Broadmeadows

If you live in one of these suburbs or have visited any of the areas recently please monitor yourself closely for symptoms.  If you have any symptoms, however minor, you should come forward for testing.  Details about the community outbreak and testing locations are available here. If you feel unwell you must not come to University or go to work.

Further Government announcements are expected over the coming days and we will keep you updated.
