This Friday 17 May, we recognize International Day against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism and Transphobia (IDAHOBIT), a day that draws attention to the violence and discrimination experienced by lesbian, gay, bisexuals, transgender, intersex people and all other people with diverse sexual orientations, gender identities or expressions, and sex characteristics.
All Shepparton students are invited to wear their rainbow colours this Friday 17 May, to show support for our LGBTIQA+ community.
Shepparton Campus is hosting a free BBQ lunch on campus at 12 p.m. (with
GF, VEG, VEGAN, HALAL options) and a flag raising ceremony at 12:30 p.m. Stay up-to-date in the IDAHOBIT Facebook event or register via EventBrite.
This event will be hosted by La Trobe University Shepparton Students Association in partnership with La Trobe University, The Diversity Project – Uniting, Vincent Care, GV CASA, and The Bridge Youth Service.
