Are you a computer whiz who’d also love to foster a passion for coding among young people?
Guthrie Street Primary School wants to set up a lunchtime coding club for its students and would be thrilled to have a La Trobe student lead the project!
The school wants someone keen on helping its pupils to develop coding and computer skills on top of what they are already doing in class.
This volunteer position would be ideal for someone studying education or teaching.
If interested, you’ll become familiar with the Coding Club Australia website, which offers a self-directed course for coding instructors.
By the end of the course, the student will have the knowledge to set up and run a Coding Club in a Primary School.
The course will take approximately five hours to complete.
Time commitment: two sessions per week (between 1:30 – 2:15) during Semester One, 2020
