Preference Entry Mode is open in Allocate+ for Semester 2, 2021 timetable preferences from 10am, Tuesday 1 June until 4pm, Friday 11 June.
The timetable will then be closed until it reopens in Allocation Adjustment Mode on Wednesday 16 June, at times staggered by the school each subject belongs to. Keep an eye on our timetable dates page for updates on these opening times.
Before you can choose your preferences, make sure you’re enrolled in your 2021 subjects
Need help enrolling? See our video or step-by-step guide for detailed instructions on how to enrol via StudentOnLine.
You can also see the steps for enrolling in electives and troubleshoot any enrolment issues using the Can’t enrol in StudentOnLine guided assist.
After you’ve enrolled, you may need to wait an hour or so for your newly enrolled subjects to show up in Allocate+, so try again later if you can’t see them straight away.
Do you receive government benefits? You must update Services Australia (also known as Centrelink) of any changes to your study load (e.g. changing from a full-time load to part-time) as soon as possible. You can read our FAQ for more detailed info.
Choosing your preferences in Allocate+
You can log into Allocate+ any time between 10am, Tuesday 1 June and 4pm, Friday 11 June and nominate your class time preferences.
Preference Entry Mode is not first in first served, so you’ll have the same chance of being allocated into your preferred classes as anybody else. This also means that the system can’t guarantee that you will get your highest preference.
Need help? Check out our Guide to Preference Entry mode for more detailed instructions and a step-by-step video on how Preference Entry mode works.
Delivery of Semester 2, 2021 subjects and online classes
We will continue to offer some classes online (particularly lectures), we are planning for the return of more face-to-face classes in Semester 2, 2021.
Online-online classes (OL code) may have scheduled components you can allocate to. If you do not need to allocate, this will be indicated with the text ‘No group available’. If you subject is delivered in ‘Blended Mode’ (BL code) with scheduled classes, then you will still need to allocate to the subject (regardless of whether it’s online or on-campus).
We are prioritising student and staff safety and working within the guidelines provided by the Victorian Government Department of Health and Human Services. Please monitor your student email and the LMS for updates. For more information, check the COVID-19 Student FAQs.
How online classes display in Allocate+
Online activities appear with a ‘-‘ in the location field.

Please note some classes displaying a ‘–‘ in the location field may be held offsite or at an alternative campus venue. When this is the case, information will be provided by the relevant teaching staff member. You may find further information in the message within Allocate+ and/or LMS.
