Register for a volunteering placement in Semester One

Are you a 2nd year undergrad student in 2021? Passionate about your community?

Interested in doing a volunteering placement in Semester One to gain academic credit?

Join us at this information session and hear about undertaking a volunteer placement (virtual or face-to-face) in semester 1, 2021 with a social enterprise or not-for-profit organisation as part of the 2nd year undergraduate subject, LTU2SLC Service Learning in the Community.

The project you’ll work on during your placement will benefit the community and contribute to the organisation’s mission. With the tough year we’ve had, there will be a number of organisations that would welcome your support in 2021.

We’ll also provide important tips on how to source your own placement which will result in you developing skills that will be essential for job searching when you graduate.

Tyler Harford, La Trobe alumni, will also share his story about doing a placement with an organisation he had never considered and now works with them on a full time basis!

**This is a subject for undergraduate 2nd-year students who have a spare elective in semester 1, 2021. Please check with ASK La Trobe to confirm that you meet this requirement.
