La Trobe Pride Week celebrations are happening from the 21 – 25 of August across all of our campuses!

We’ve got a bunch of activities on each campus for you to join in the celebrations, and learn a little bit about our diverse LGBTIQA+ community along the way.

Pride Week – Pride Plants
Whether it’s as an Ally or as a part of the LGBTQIA+ SB community, we invite you to sprinkle a little colour across La Trobe Albury Wodonga. With a range of colourful flowers to choose from you get to pot and take home your own floral creation. Rainbow food and drinks provided.

Flag Raising Ceremony
Join us at 11am for the annual Flag Raising and then march down to the Plaza to enjoy the festivities.

The Bendigo Mid-week Market is going rainbow!
Celebrate La Trobe’s LGBTQIA+SB Community with stalls, music and more. DJ Cliterally will be brining the beats and there’ll be activities and stalls galore – including the famous Pride Clothes Swap! Check out the stalls, meet your student clubs, grab a sausage from the barbie, and connect with the University community! We’ll have mindful colouring, the Library Book Swap and more!

Midweek Market runs Week 2, 4, 6, 8, and 10.

Pride Pink Party
Raise a Glass to Love and Diversity at our Pink Party! Join us for a fabulous celebration of Pride Month, where the drinks flow freely, and the food is on the house. Indulge in an evening of fun, laughter, and unity as we honor inclusivity in style.
Come dressed in your finest shades of pink and let’s toast to love, equality, and the joy of being ourselves. It’s not just a party, it’s a celebration of us, united in vibrant colors and endless acceptance. See you there!

Mid-week Market Pride Festival Takeover
It’s Pride Week at La Trobe! Staff and students across LTU come out loud and proud to celebrate and support our LGBTIQA+SB community. The Pride Week Festival will see the Agora come alive with DJ Cliterally, interactive activities, and free food.
 

Pride March
In keeping with our theme of ‘Visible Against Violence’, join the Pride March on campus at 12pm (starting and ending at the Agora) to celebrate your identity and diversity, and show our unwavering support of and for the LGBTIQA+SB community.
Remember to wear a touch of rainbow or dress in your loudest colours in your wardrobe!

Pride Day Celebrations
Join us on campus for Pride Week festivities in Mildura! Be a part of this supportive and inclusive day that celebrate our LGBTIQA+SB communities and learn more about our theme ‘Visible against Violence’, asking us to unite, demonstrating our commitment as a La Trobe community, to uphold the rights of all people to live free from violence.
 
There’ll be rainbow-coloured decorations, free food, giveaways and delicious cookies.

The La Trobe annual Wear it Purple event is back for 2023.
This year partnering with GOTAFE we have planned an afternoon of delicious food, fun activities, and informative stalls!
