All campus and Student Accommodation network outage

There will be a University-wide network upgrade on Sunday 5 May, 2024, which means you may experience network outages of up to 3 hours. This will impact all campuses and includes Student Accommodation. These changes are crucial for ensuring the network is ready to support new technologies.

During this time, there may be disruptions to the following services:

  • Network connectivity
  • Remote access (VPN)
  • Library systems
  • Research data/equipment access
  • Active directory
  • Authentication processes
  • Storage services
  • Wi-Fi connectivity (Eduroam)
  • Telephony services
  • Access to file shares
  • Access to certain doors via card access (such as for first-time users)

To support the upgrade, the Library at the Melbourne (Bundoora), Bendigo, and Albury-Wodonga campuses will also close from midnight, Saturday 4 May and re-open Monday 6 May at 7 am (Melbourne (Bundoora) / Bendigo) and 8 am (Albury-Wodonga).
