Community Ambassadors: student volunteer opportunity at the National Gallery of Victoria

We’ve partnered with the National Gallery of Victoria (NGV) since 2013 to provide opportunities for our students, staff, and community to explore and learn in a whole new way.

NGV is seeking student volunteers to become gallery ambassadors and support a variety of audience engagement activities that help the NGV promote, expand and strengthen cultural understanding between Australian and Chinese communities.

Working with the NGV’s Learning Team students will:

1. Support the development and delivery of bilingual community programs such as tours, workshops, and other activities designed to engage diverse audiences.

2. Successfully complete a training program to develop skills and knowledge necessary to operate effectively as an NGV Community Ambassador.

Applications close at 5 pm on Friday 16 September

To be successful you will have well-developed interpersonal and communication skills, language proficiency in both Mandarin Chinese and English and an interest in art and design and cultural exchange.
