Learn how to make space in your timetable for industry placement

Are you a SHE College student who’s ready to get out of the classroom and into the workplace?

This upcoming information session is a chance to learn how you can get the edge employers want by completing an industry placement as part of your degree.

By attending the in-person information session at Bendigo on August 22, you’ll discover what’s involved in the subject, Future Ready for Work (SHE3FRW).

The subject, which runs in Semester Two and Summer One, makes room in your timetable for undertaking an industry placement for which you’ll earn credit towards your degree.

Placements last for between 100 and 140 hours. In past years, placement settings have included:

  • a nutritional desert manufacturing company
  • a science communication and discovery centre
  • a laboratory at La Trobe University
  • a city council

SHE3FRW is available to all second- and third-year undergraduate students in the College of Science, Health and Engineering.

The sessions will include ample time for questions and discussion, and is strongly recommended for anyone thinking about undertaking SHE3FRW in 2019.
