As we ease into Semester 1, I hope you’re feeling settled in at La Trobe this year.
If you’re new to the university and still feel a little overwhelmed, don’t stress! Lucky for you, the ASSC College is running Peer Mentoring online meetups in Week 4 AND Week 7!
The Peer Mentor Program at La Trobe connects returning students with new students to help guide them through their university experience. Students are connected with a mentor who is studying a similar degree. Your peer mentor is someone you can talk to about all things related to life at uni.
Worried about managing your new university life with work, your social life and other commitments? No worries, your peer mentor is happy to talk it through with you.
Having trouble understanding that thing called the LMS that every lecturer and tutor is talking about?! Don’t stress – your peer mentor has your back!
Stressed about all the assignments that seem to be piling up already? Your peer mentor has been there before and can walk you through the process.
La Trobe’s online peer mentoring sessions are an awesome place to voice these concerns and talk through things with your mentor!
Starting university can also be a bit scary when you don’t know anyone. Becoming part of the peer mentoring program is a great way to meet new people and forge great connections.
Self-enrol in the ASSC Peer Mentor Program on the LMS to find more information about the Peer Mentor meetup schedules for students in the Schools of Business, Education, Law or Humanities & Social Sciences!
