The philanthropically funded La Trobe Islamic Scholarships are being offered for the first time to support the education of La Trobe University students of Muslim background in 2023!
The La Trobe Islamic Scholarships will be awarded to 20 Muslim-identifying students at $5000 per year for the duration of their course.
In the event that not all scholarships are awarded this semester, there will be another application round in 2024.
To be eligible to apply for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be a current or commencing La Trobe coursework student in Semester 2, 2023
- Identify as having a Muslim background
- Meet criteria for educational disadvantage (financial, non-English speaking background, disability, or other hardship or disadvantage)
Recipients of the scholarship shall be selected by the University based on their:
- Responses to the questions within the application form
- Evidence of medical disadvantage through supplied documentation (if a medical disadvantage is experienced)
