Introducing your Student Union or Association: the place to connect and get support

La Trobe Student Union (Melbourne, Shepparton, Mildura)

The La Trobe University Student Union (LTSU) is the peak representative body for La Trobe University students at the Melbourne, Shepparton and Mildura campuses. We’re led by students, for students.

We believe in contributing powerfully to the La Trobe University student experience. We are an organisation that believes in giving our students friendship, opportunities to develop, and access to professional support. We know that uni-life can be tough as heck and we are here to help you get the most out of your uni career, and have fun at the same time.

We do this by offering a variety of services including student leadership, advocacy, legal services, financial counselling, clubs & societies, volunteering, training, scholarships & awards, music and major events.

Be skillful. Be supported. Be happy. Be more than just clever with the LTSU!

Bendigo Student Association

The Bendigo Student Association (BSA) has a simple purpose: to make student life better.

We help you maximise your time at La Trobe, so you leave with a qualification in one hand and suitcase full of life skills and lifelong friendships in the other. Clubs, events, short courses and more, plus all the help you need to get through University without failing subjects, going broke or getting too homesick.

The BSA is an Incorporated Association which means that although our offices are located within the University, we remain independent of the University. Our relationship with the University is strong but our structure means we can represent students fairly and without compromise.

Whist we have a fantastic membership program (with sweet merch!), our services are available to all Bendigo La Trobe students. Contact us any time!

Wodonga Student Association

Wodonga Student Association (WSA) is here to support you as a La Trobe University student. WSA is managed by a student committee and provides student representation and support. WSA is independent of the University, but works closely with La Trobe to provide a range of services and activities. WSA is operating during COVID-19, with some differences.

Continuing services include:

  • Need to access food share on campus? Foodshare is providing non-perishable items on campus. Phone campus security for access and directions if needed. It is located in a room at the on-campus residence – opposite the TAFE’s childcare centre entry.
  • Need to access student advocacy? If you are having any difficulties at University, WSA is here to support you or direct you to the services and support your need. Email Jo Mathey, WSA Manager and Student Advocate
