We’re challenging you to full a day of online academic and library skills workshops. Knock out your assessments, smash that reference list, and become a master of time management. Let’s conquer the mid-semester slump together!
Program
- Round 1: Report Writing and Referencing Hacks, 10.00 am – 11.30 am
Don’t lose unnecessary marks on your reports. In this workshop, you’ll learn some of the most common mistakes students make when writing reports. We’ll teach you how to structure and write reports and where to find resources. You’ll also learn various referencing hacks and can choose your own adventure with either the APA referencing style or Harvard. - Round 2: Essays and Referencing Hacks, 11.30 am – 1.30 pm
We’ll teach you everything you need to know about essays – from planning and structuring to writing and editing. You’ll also learn various referencing hacks and can choose your own adventure with either the APA referencing style or Harvard. - Round 3: Using References in your Writing, 2 pm – 3 pm
Not sure how to use references in your writing? This workshop will teach you the how, when and why of referencing. We’ll also teach you how to avoid plagiarism. - Round 4: Getting Back on Track with your Assessments, 3 pm – 4pm
This workshop will look at strategies to help you get back on track. We’ll talk about prioritising tasks, time management, and where to go for more support. - Round 5: Library Skills 2: Databases and Google Scholar Hacks, 6 pm – 7pm
This workshop introduces databases and provides tips and tricks for using Google Scholar in your research.
