2nd – 6th: Check-In With Your Mates Fest

Wednesday 2nd: Check In With Your Mates Music Trivia

Zoom.
Join in a team (max of 5), or come solo – we can put you in a team where you can meet your new friends for the night, or you can take on everyone solo! Teams are placed into Breakout rooms – so you don’t have to be physically together to work together. When you arrive, just let Disco Dave or the Trivia Helper Freyja know if you’re already in a team.
You’ll be given a form to submit your answers after each round. First responses in gets extra points. The team with the most points at the end, wins big! But don’t worry if you’re not the best at trivia knowledge, we’ll also have chances to win throughout the event that won’t rely on smarts.
Feel free to have fun and get social in the chat. Disco Dave loves his sweet tunes, fun interaction and your best Zoom backgrounds.
Thursday 3rd: Lockdown Social

Zoom.
Want to meet new people? Maybe it’s time to increase your social circle, find an iso-exercise partner, or you seriously just need someone other than your housemate to talk to. Whatever the reason, join us for Lockdown Social!
No need to fill out a form, just show up and we’ll match you up with people to talk to. It’s like speed dating but for friends… and via Zoom. Sounds strange, but it totally works.
Plus everyone that comes along goes in the hat to win a delicious delivery of donuts – directly to their door!
Wonder how it’s going to work? You’ll be put into groups of 2 – 3 in Zoom Breakout Rooms and given just a few sweet minutes to say hi and get to know one another, then we’ll all switch! Make a new friend or just have a nice conversation with someone new.
Sunday 6th: Sunday Craft & Chill: Frida Kahlo Collage

Zoom – limited spaces
In this fun, beginner-friendly session, we are joining forces with Rebel Stepz in Fitzroy to celebrate and enjoy the life and works of Frida Kahlo.
Through this, we’ll be inspired to use drawing techniques and collage to create our own Frida portrait and undertake some fun, Frida inspired drawing exercises that will really get your creative juices flowing.
Grab a bit of paper, pencils and glue plus anything you can use to create a collage. Maybe some old newspapers or magazines… or a little ribbon and crepe paper… perhaps some glitter and string… heck even old chocolate wrappers and those notes you don’t need anymore… anything you can find!
Hang around after the class to work on your own craft projects, draw a little more or just have a chill chat with other crafty LTU folk.

Sunday 13th – 3pm – 5pm: Sunday Craft & Chill: Basket Weaving

The Wayapawarr Watnanda Marangee project invites you to learn a traditional weaving technique, weave circular ‘meeting places’ and decorate public spaces with your woven creations.
Wayapawarr Watnanda Marangee means ‘we all come together in a meeting’, in Gunditjmara language. Although we cannot come together physically, this project joins community members across all ages, genders and abilities who find themselves in self-isolation, via the ancient art of weaving.
We are super excited you are joining for online weaving circles with First Nations artist and weaver Lorraine Brigdale.
Spaces are limited – register for tickets here
Hang around after the class to work on your own craft projects, draw a little more or just have a chill chat with other crafty LTU folk.
