There are so many advantages to one-to-one study support, from increasing motivation and boosting your confidence to staying on track with study and assignments.
Get study support from a fellow student this semester by visiting a Peer Learning Advisor (PLA). PLAs are high-performing La Trobe students specially trained to help other students. They can help you stay on track with study and assignments.
How will I benefit?
The PLA service is free and drop-in based, so no appointment is necessary. They can support you in any discipline, at any campus.
PLAs can help you:
- understand and unpack assessment tasks
- plan and structure essays and reports
- learn how to reference
- improve time management
- navigate LMS
- adjust to university life, and more
When and where can I see a PLA?
PLAs are at the Library every weekday. You can visit a PLA face-to-face or chat to them online.
PLAs are on campus Monday to Friday from 11 am – 4 pm at the Melbourne (Bundoora) and Bendigo Campuses or visit a PLA on select days at Mildura, Shepparton, Albury-Wodonga and City Campuses.
Catch to a PLA online from 11 am – 6 pm, Monday to Friday.
Commencing on Saturday 15 April 2023, PLAs will also be available online from 11 am – 4 pm every Saturday. You can check their availability at each campus on LMS.
