Join a guided city tour designed for La Trobe international students and get to know the local places\, landmarks and stories that make Bendigo unique. \n\n\n\nLed by Bendigo Guided Tours\, this walking tour will introduce you to Bendigo’s historic city centre\, key local landmarks and stories from the city’s gold rush history. \n\n\n\nThe tour is a relaxed way to explore Bendigo\, meet other students and build confidence getting around the city. \n\n\n\nYou can travel with the group from La Trobe Bendigo campus or meet directly in the city. \n\n\n\nKey details\n\n\n\nDate: Thursday 30 July 2026 \n\n\n\nIf you’re travelling from campus \n\n\n\n\nMeet at 12:30 pm in front of the flags at La Trobe Bendigo.\n\n\n\nOptional bus transport to the city is provided.\n\n\n\n\nIf you’re meeting in the city \n\n\n\n\nMeet at 12:50 pm at Bendigo Visitor Centre\, 51–67 Pall Mall\, Bendigo.\n\n\n\n\nTour times \n\n\n\n1pm–3pm \n\n\n\nCost: Free for La Trobe international students \n\n\n\nIncluded: Guided tour and optional bus transport from campus \n\n\n\nWhat you’ll experience\n\n\n\nOn this tour\, you’ll: \n\n\n\n\nexplore Bendigo’s historic city centre\n\n\n\nhear local stories from Bendigo Guided Tours\n\n\n\nvisit key landmarks and local places\n\n\n\nlearn more about Bendigo’s gold rush history\n\n\n\nmeet other La Trobe international students\n\n\n\nbuild confidence getting around the city\n\n\n\nchoose to travel with the group from campus or meet directly in Bendigo\n\n\n\n\nBefore you book\n\n\n\nThis is a walking tour\, so please wear comfortable shoes and dress for the weather. \n\n\n\nPlease bring: \n\n\n\n\ncomfortable walking shoes\n\n\n\na water bottle\n\n\n\nweather-appropriate clothing\n\n\n\n\nOptional bus transport from La Trobe Bendigo campus is included.
