DESCRIPTION:Gabra Biik\, Wurruwila Wutja Indigenous Research Centre\, will host a University‑wide broadcast event on 16 June featuring Barry Firebrace‑Briggs\, a member of the First Peoples’ Assembly of Victoria. \n\n\n\nThe presentation “Gellung Warl – Treaty for Generations” will provide staff and students with an overview of the new representative and deliberative body for Traditional Owners and First Peoples in Victoria and insights into the next steps for Treaty\, drawing on Barry’s experience within the Assembly. \n\n\n\nThe event supports the University’s commitment to Indigenous leadership\, truth‑telling and informed engagement with matters of state and national significance. \n\n\n\nThis is a hybrid event – you can choose to attend either online or in-person at the Hoogenraad Lecture Theatre. Registrations are essential.

DESCRIPTION:La Trobe University’s Audiology Discipline is running a free online seminar on Hearing for Wellbeing. \n\n\n\nThis free 30-minute seminar will explore hearing loss\, wellbeing\, communication and support pathways in Australia. You’ll receive: \n\n\n\n\npractical\, easy-to-understand information\n\n\n\nsupport for individuals and families\n\n\n\nguidance from audiology clinicians and students\n\n\n\n\nThe seminar will be held online via Zoom at 6pm on both Monday 15 June and Tuesday 16 June 2026. \n\n\n\nThese sessions will be recorded. If you register your interest\, you will be given access to the live session\, the recording and additional resources. \n\n\n\nThe seminar will be presented in the following languages: English\, Arabic\, Farsi\, Vietnamese and Mandarin.
